Greetings from Church of
Peace!
It’s the Sunday of Peace. Our
beautiful sanctuary is the perfect spot to open yourselves to God’s
peace-bringing spirit. The Jackson
family will light the candles for us. We’ll
begin at 8:45 a.m.
We have two people in the
hospital – Norma Bacon and Joan Beyer. Please pray that God will pour healing
light upon them.
Thank you to all who
participated in our November blanket drive.
We received funds to send 115 blankets to chilly people around the
world. Doesn’t that warm your heart?
Sunday is the last day to
order a poinsettia.
It’s time to start thinking
about spreading Christmas cheer. We’ll
meet for pizza on Sunday, December 20th at 5:00 p.m. and then take a
bus around town to share our joy at several homes. We’ll return by 7:30 p.m. Bring
the whole family – it’s a blast. You can sign up in the coatroom.
That’s the news from Church of
Peace.
We’ll see you in church! Pastors Jenny and Jim
A prayer for today: During this Advent week of hope, O God, I
pray that you will fill my life with a sense of your presence and help me to
face the future unafraid. Bring to me on this day many opportunities to share
your uplifting love with others. I pray
that Norma Bacon and Joan Beyer will experience a keen sense of your nearness and
love. With all my heart, I pray for
peace in our world. Amen.
