Greetings from Church of
Peace!
Is there turmoil in your life?
Could you use a hefty dose of inner peace? If so, this Sunday’s worship service
is just what the spiritual doctor ordered for your soul. Join us at 8:45 for a time of joy and
renewal.
Jim Stephany is in the
hospital. Please remember him when you
pray.
Today’s the last day to drop
off your oldies-but-goodies for the Ladies of Peace rummage sale. And don’t forget your baked goods for the
bake sale. We’ll be open for business tomorrow (Friday) from 8-4 and then Saturday
from 8-2. You’ll be amazed at all the
bargains they’ve assembled. Thank you to all who donated or worked thus
far.
Do you like to paint
walls? We’ve got the walls and the
paint. The “Peaceful Painters” will be
at work Saturday from 8:00 – 3:00 and again on Sunday from 11:00 to 3:00, both
this weekend and next. Please stop in
and help if you can. “Many hands make
light work.” Besides, it’ll be fun!
We expect the May Messenger to be on line by Friday noon (www.uccchurchofpeace.org) and to be
available at the church this weekend. It
is chuck full of news.
That’s the news from Church of
Peace.
We’ll see you in church!
Pastors Jenny and Jim
A prayer for today: So much is going on in my life, O God, that
I am tempted to forget you. Slow me down
enough to feel your presence and appreciate your many blessings. Fill me with
your peace. Be with Jim Stephany, giving him health and strength. Amen.
