Greetings from Church of
Peace!
Sunday will be a bright day
here at Church of Peace. The sermon will be Taking
a Nature Walk with God. We’ll welcome new members into our
congregation. The Sunday School and the
Chapel Choir will both sing. Join us at
8:45 a.m. for this joyful service.
Sunday is the final day of
Sunday School for this school year. We
are deeply appreciative of our teachers for their months of preparation and
gentle guidance for the kids – Heidi Hickey, Lindsay Poirier, and Angie
Petersen for the youngest group, Jody and Tanya Marcoe, Victor Abitz, and Barb
Gustafson for the middle group, and Chan Ramirez, Mike Riegert, and Rob Giese
for the oldest group. Siera Ramirez has lead
the students in song. Our children are blessed by these caring adults. We are
grateful to God for their ministries among us.
Janet Willis has been
hospitalized. Norma Bacon is in hospice
care, nearing the end of her life among us.
Please remember these women when you pray.
Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m.
youth and parents will gather in Gammert Hall to talk about the National Youth
Event coming up in July. Ten students
will be traveling to Orlando for this faith-building and fun event.
This Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.,
Golden Fellowship will host Jordan Skiff
(from the Lake Winnebago Quality Improvement Association) who will present a
fascinating program on Lake Winnebago, its health issues, and current projects
underway to improve its well-being in the coming years. Lunch will follow. Please sign up on the bulletin board in
Gammert Hall or call the church office at 921-8215.
That’s the news from Church of
Peace.
We’ll see you in church! Pastors Jenny and Jim
A prayer for today: O God whose light shines through every
earthly darkness, I pray today for a sense of your brightness in my life. Show me how to shine for you. Bless those who
are sick, especially Janet Willis and Norma Bacon, with your nearness and love. I pray remembering Jesus. Amen.
