Greetings from Church of
Peace!
Sunday’s service will be full
of joy as we celebrate a baptism (little Julia Violet Oleson) and renew our financial
commitment during the offering. The
choir will offer an anthem. Join us at
8:45 a.m. for this hour of faith.
Elaine Schabel
and Dave Denslow are hospitalized. Please remember them in your prayers.
The Worship Enhancement Team
will meet on Saturday morning at 9:30 to plan for Thanksgiving, Advent, and
Christmas. Beauty is on the way!
We’re looking forward to the
Thanksgiving Eve service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23rd. Plan to join your church family in this
service of gratitude. Holy Communion will be served in the pews.
Construction update: concrete
has been poured and interior walls have been texturized. The asphalt between the disabled parking area
and the big parking lot is currently torn up as they prepare to repave that
area. This means we will not be able to
drive through on Sunday. There will be a
few disabled parking spaces available. If
you park in the big parking lot, allow extra time to walk around to the front
of the building. This might be a good week to utilize the YMCA parking lot.
That’s the news from Church of
Peace.
We’ll see you in church! Pastors Jenny and Jim
A prayer for today: I need to sense your nearness today, O God. When
I am filled with gratitude, remind me to live out my thankfulness in a loving
life. When I am uncertain, show me the
way to walk faithfully though life. When I am afraid, fill me with your courage
and peace. Bless Elaine Schabel and Dave
Denslow with your healing light. I pray
these things remembering Jesus. Amen.
