Greetings from Church of
Peace!
We’ll be busy at Church of
Peace this weekend.
Saturday will be a landscaping
“party” from 9-noon. Please bring your
own rake, shovel, tiller – whatever might come in handy. We will be delighted to have your help.
Sunday’s service will focus on
remembering those who have died in our own lives. How does our faith comfort us as we grieve
the loss of loved ones? The service will begin at 8:45 a.m.
Sunday evening our youth will
gather at 6:30 for a fun time of take-away BINGO, ice cream, Seroogy’s
Chocolates, and updates for the coming months.
Confirmands through high school youth are invited.
The office will be closed on
Memorial Day so our staff can observe the holiday.
Tuesday is the Golden
Fellowship Horicon Marsh adventure.
We’ll leave at 9:30 a.m. for a time of exploration, good “eats,” and
fun. Right now the weather looks “iffy.”
We will contact those who have signed up if the trip is postponed due to
weather.
John Waldschmidt is a patient
at St. Agnes Hospital. Remember him in prayer, please.
That’s the news from Church of
Peace.
We’ll see you in church!
Pastors Jenny and Jim
A prayer for today: Thank you for walking each step of today by
my side, O God. Help me to notice your
many surprising blessings along the way.
I pray for healing for John Waldschmidt. I also pray for those for whom
this Memorial Day is especially difficult; may they know your comfort and
peace. Amen.
