Greetings from Church of
Peace!
This Sunday’s service has a
special treat! When the workers removed the cornerstone from the 1955 addition,
they found a time capsule behind the stone.
We’ll open it during this Sunday’s children’s sermon. Join us as we examine this treasure! The
sermon will feature a visit from a first-century woman and, of course, we’ll
join together in prayer and song. The service begins at 8:45 a.m.
Tom Schultz is in the
hospital. Please pray for Tom’s full
recovery.
Building to Serve news this
week: as of this writing, only the wall along Military Road remains
standing. Huge piles of metal have been
taken to the recyclers. Rubble from the bricks and concrete will be ground up
to be used under the foundation. Lots of progress toward our bright future!
On the bulletin board in
Gammert Hall, you can sign up not only for the Golden Fellowship trip to
Jung’s/Pilgrim Center/ the Amish Shops on April 26th but also for
the Diner’s Club at Blanck’s Lake Aire Supper Club on Sunday, May 1st.
That’s the news from Church of
Peace.
We’ll see you in church.
Pastors Jenny and Jim
A prayer for today: Gracious God of heaven and earth, on this
spring day I give you thanks for the many ways you bring newness of life to every
aspect of my life. I pray that I may be an agent of your uplifting love in the
lives of others. Please continue to
bless Tom Schultz with returning health and strength. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
